description:
I saw this piece as a foreboding prototype for Apple. As hybrid utensils, this four-piece set of machined iSpork flatware is an exploration into the theme of technological dehumanization. Like most aspects of our lives, I unfortunately see meal times as one of the last sacred communal human rituals inexorably earmarked for technological overhaul too.

*Note:
I guess I did not realize how popular these would wind up being, so I would just like to say thank you to everyone who has posted a kind reply to them and to the 2 DA members responsible for making them the DD today (I just figured out what that meant, lol) Thank you so much for your interest in them! I'll try to address some of the questions people have had but forgive me if I don't get to everybody.

an amazing statement about our world today.

Crooked but parallel to the universe
The picture doesn't even need a description to get the point across. Nicely done! :)

Me:"I just don't want to be seen as that girl who gets all A's, does all the work, and joins clubs. I don't want people to think I can be." :/
Therapist:*bursts out laughing... for the next five minutes* "I think you've proved your point, sweetie." XD

- "Just because you're fighting a losing battle, doesn't mean it's not worth fighting"
what ever happened to eating with a plastic spork ??? i miss the good old days ... but this is great i love your message ... i shall fav ... :+fav:

what is love but a four letter word ...
Oooh, I love sporks.
And yeah, this is a sad situation.
But then again, you have to LET it invade your life for it to be a reality. To spend all your money on more or less useless consumer products and other junk they try to coach you into buying, is a decision only you can make, and noone's really forcing your hand here, advertisement or not.

I has... half a cookie.
:spork:
